Peshawar: The establishment of a new Afghan government by the Taliban, which will be announced on Friday, has now been postponed by the day, according to spokesman for rebel Zabiullah Mujahid.
Mujahid said the announcement of the formation of the new government will now be made on Saturday.
The source said that the Chairperson of the Taliban, Doha, Qatar Mulla Abdul Ghani Office Baradar is likely to be the Chief of the Taliban government.
More than two weeks after the Taliban took over Afghanistan, Islamists Hardline was ready to announce the formation of new governments in Kabul on Iranian leadership lines, with the top religious leaders of the Mullah Group Sindullah Akhundzada as the highest authority of Afghanistan, a senior member of the group has said.
“Consultation is almost resolved in the new government, and the necessary discussions have also been held about the Cabinet,” Mufti Inamullah Samangani, a senior official in the Taliban Information and Culture Commission, said.
In Iran, the highest leader is the highest political and religious authority in the country.
He ranks above the president and appointed the head of the military, government and justice.
The highest leader is to say the final in the country’s political, religious and military affairs.
“Mullah Akhunzada will be a government leader and there should be no questions about this,” he said, showing that the President would work under his supervision.
Mullah Akhunzada is the top of the Taliban religious leader and has served in a mosque in the Kachlaak area of Balochistan Province for 15 years.
Samangani said that under the arrangement of new government, the governor would control the province, while the district governor would be responsible for their respective districts.
The Taliban has appointed the governor, police chief and police commander for the province and district.
The name of a new governance system, national flag and national anthem has not been resolved, he said.
