Panaji: In a big shame for BJP, the former Governor of Goa Satya Pal Malik on Monday leveled serious charges of corruption against the Pramod-LED government and said he was discussed from Goa in August 2020 because he had exposed it.
“There is corruption in the Goa government in handling anything and everything.
I was removed because of my corruption charges against the Goa government,” Malik, who is now Governor Meghalaya, told the national channel.
As soon as Malik made the accusation, BJP strongly opposed it and said he would notify the central leadership about the actual picture.
“This is a truly wrong and unfounded accusation,” State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade said immediately after Malik’s interview was a telecast by the national channel.
The opposition was quick to lock up allegations and demanded Sawant’s resignation and said the center had to start a judicial investigation.
“When locking was stated in Goa, the government said they would not let the essential commodity store remain open and the government provided services at the doorstep.
It was carried out on the insistence of private companies that had paid them money.

The opposition immediately called for the resignation of Sawant with opposition leaders drawn for Kamat saying CM “does not have a moral right to continue to power after the revelation made by the constitutional head”.

The President of Congress Girish Chodankar also said that Malik’s accusations had “justified” their allegations that BJP made a “business” out of “People’s Disease” during Covid.

The AAP and Trinamool Congress has demanded a judicial investigation into the allegations carried out by Malik against the Goa government.
AAP Convener Rahul Mhambre and the leader of the TMC O’Brien TMC parliamentary wing demanded the resignation of the minister’s chairman.
They said what was highlighted by their parties for a long time confirmed by the Governor appointed by BJP.
