Osmanabad: Four family members were destroyed to death when their car collided with a container truck which was loaded with a tractor in the Osmanabad Maharashtra district on Friday, police said.
The accident took place near the village of Bhadachiwadi on Jalan Osmanabad-Dhoki-Latur in the early hours of the morning, said the Suresh Inspector from the rural police station.
The victims of Umesh Murlidhar Pade (50), his wife Savita (45), Son Pratik (24) and Mrs.
Horabai (70), was a resident of the latch, he said.
The family came to Osmanabad for a function and returned to the stature at the time of the incident, he said.
The car was badly damaged and had to be separated from a container truck with the help of a crane, the official said.
The driver of the container truck, which transports the tractor, escaped from the scene after the collision, he added.
