Kochi: CBI on Thursday told the Kerala High Court which was suspected of Pakistan having a role in the framework of the ISRO Spy case.
Additional Public Lawyers (ASG) SV Raju made submission during hearing at the Anticipatory Guarantee Applicant submitted by former Sreekumar RB Intelligence Bureau officer.
He was accused of frame-up cases investigated by CBI now.
In the case of the original spy in 1994, it was alleged that citizens of Maladvia got a secret image of the ISRO rocket engine from scientists for sale to Pakistan.
Opposing anticipatory assurance applicants, ASG said it was alleged that Pakistan had a role in the frequency and that the conspiracy for the same thing involved officials named defendants, including Sreekumar.
Sreekumar has argued before the High Court that he was only involved in helping the police Kerala and that he only obeyed the direction from England to interrogate scientists and submit a report.
Sreekumar did not torture Nambi Narayanan as a suspicion, Srekumar’s advice told the court.
However, the CBI had told the court that Sreekumar knew Nambi Narayanan from the days he worked as a commander in the ISRO unit in Thiruvananthapuram and that they were not in good terms.
The court asked for ASG if he could do that the applicant would not be arrested until the next hearing.
However, ASG said he could not do that because it was a problem related to national security.
After considering the submission, the court resisted the arrest of Srekumar until listening and directed to post cases along with anticipatory assurance requests submitted by other officers accused of in the frame-up.
