Paris: Vandal has attacked more than 20 vaccination centers and other health facilities, extends several Nazi-themed slogans, because the French government rises the Covid-19 vaccination drive.
Anger has been triggered by the introduction of health passes that show evidence of vaccination or Covid-19 Negative tests recently which are now mandatory to enter restaurants, trains and other public places.
For the past four per week the protesters have lined up against The Health Pass, saying it limits individual freedom.
Since July 12, a total of 22 health facilities have been attacked by defaced, including 15 vaccination centers, five Covid-19 test centers and one medical laboratory, an Interior Ministry official told Reuters on Wednesday.
Throughout the country, the vaccination center and outside testing facilities at the pharmacy have been marked with swastikas and graffiti such as “collaborators”, “Nazi” and “genocide”.
The same slogan has also been seen in some demonstrations against health passes.
In the city of Loire Neuille-Pont-Pierre the stars last month David – similar to the Jews was forced to be used by the Nazi – painted on the signs of the vaccination center.
“We are cleaning up this horror, this is interesting.
Other centers have also been hit by racist and coward attacks,” said Mayor Neuille-Pierre Michel Jollivet on BFM television.
In Lans-En-Vercors, Southeast France, anti-vaccine graffiti painted on the community hall that accommodated the vaccine center and fire hose opened, flooded facilities, Le Dauphine’s local newspaper reported.
“Improving a vaccination center speaks a lot about the motive of the perpetrators, which will be tracked,” said the Health Minister Olivier Veran in a tweet.
At the urrugne, in Pyrenees, the tent from a temporary vaccination center was burned, while at AudinCourt, East France, the power supply to the vaccination center was cut off, endangering the dose of vaccine in the fridge.
“There is no doubt that the vaccination center is targeted,” said Mayor Audincourt Martial Bourquin told L’Express.
On Sundays, the staff at the Toulouse Vaccination Center found a note that said “One day, all of this will explode”, report local media.
The Minister of Home Affairs Gerald Darmanin said the perpetrators would be severely punished but so far there was no major arrest made.
France has registered more than 112,000 Covid-19 deaths and a total of 6.33 million cases.
After a slowdown in infection after the Third French Kuncian this spring, the more contagious Delta variant has caused a surge in new cases, now an average of more than 22,000 per day.
