New Delhi: With the internal reform of Congress, underway under the leadership of the party President Sonia Gandhi, the G-23 has “no role and becomes irrelevant”, Congress leader M Veerappa Moony said on Sunday.
The former Union Minister, who was among the signatories of the letter to Sonia who was looking for organizational improvement, said anyone who survived “institutionalized” the G-23 after the reform process began only to do so for “personal interests”.
.
“Some of us only put our signatures just for reform from the party from inside and to rebuild the party, not to destroy it …
some of our leaders abuse the G-23 ….
if they (some leaders) survive (with G- 23) That means there are personal interests for some of them to work against the Congress Party, which we do not subscribe and rather opposed it, “Moy told PTI.
He added that anyone who continued to use the G-23 was doing a “big harm” to the Indian National Congress and his inheritance, and that the action would help the rival of Congress.
“He (Sonia Gandhi) is active and decision, such decisions are needed,” Moony told the news agency.
Former Minister voiced support for the Induction of Prashant Kishor’s pollologist to Congress and said those who opposed them were “anti-reform”.
Moony also described Congress as a “Tumpu Point of Political Strength of this country”, said that while the party lost elections several times, it would not be lost forever.
Reacting to the Chairman of the NCP of Sharad Pawar’s statement that Congress Like ‘Zamindar’, Moony said the NCP’s own head of NCP said the Congress was the only party that came to power in several countries that could take BJP.
