The G20 needs to help increase the funds available to WHO: Mansukh Mandaviya

New Delhi: Minister of Health and Welfare of the Mansukh Mandaviya family on Friday said that the G20 needs to help increase funds available to the World Health Organization (WHO) with a certain focus on fair and affordable access.
According to the official statement, the Union Minister while overcoming the G20 Joint Finance and Health meeting ‘said that “in a pandemic there is nothing safe until everyone is safe.” The discussion agenda is “concrete proposal to strengthen global health financing governance”, according to government release.
“The G20 needs to help in increasing funds available to whom, especially funds that are not marked ears in addition to supporting ongoing multistakeher mechanisms such as GAVI, CEPI, ACT-A with a specific focus on fair and affordable access,” he added “in the pandemic There is a safe until everyone is safe.

Supporting the current proposal for the combined health and the power of financing, he said that India proposed that the centrality of who needs to be maintained in the health arena.
“India also proposed that while some entities with overlapping mandates experienced problems of preparedness and pandemic response, completing all such initiatives was woven seamlessly to create a global health emergency management architecture was the need for hours,” said Mandaviya.
The minister further notes that there is also a need to synchronize this multilateral initiative among member countries according to their local context at the national level.
Citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mandaviya said: “In this context, I quote our Hon’ble Prime Minister Modi when he mentioned that ‘everyone’s support, everyone’s development, everyone’s trust and everyone’s efforts are very important for success.” He added that India would want to congratulate the Italian presidency to strengthen global health financing and its government.
