Nagpur: The ongoing gang competition caused the shooting in which a criminal was injured after the bullet pierced his right leg in the morning attack near Geetanjali Talkies on Monday.
The attack had made the police on their toes but the perpetrators had not been arrested.
The police are now facing difficult challenges as a place where the shot happens does not have a CCTV camera.
The perpetrators can be seen from other cameras in the distance.
Apart from injury, the victim and his helpers pursued their rivals by responding to attacking with bricks and Batu Bhaldarpura.
Ahmed was also accompanied by Rojan, another friend.

Police said Ahmed’s brother, Denmark Haji was also a criminal who was feared by him.

“The perpetrators will be arrested soon,” said Zonal DCP Lohit Matani.
It also stated that Ahmed was arrested last year while involved in several illegal activities but was released immediately in a questionable state.
