Kalyan: Kalyan crime unit from police Thane damaged the gang made a fake document to secure a guarantee to be accused of being in prison.
The police arrested five people, including a lawyer, and recovered several fake documents and stamps from them.
The crime branch team on Tuesday produced the defendant in front of the Kalyan session and demanded that their custody cites the possibility of a large-scale racket operating in various Mumbai and Thane courts.
At the request of the police, the judge gave the four-day custody accused of the police.
Kalyan branch sources said that recently, the crime branch team had received information that several defendants arrested for serious violations were given guarantees by using false documents and such gangs was active in Kalyan courts.
After getting information, Senior Police Inspector Kishor Shirsath formed a team of police officers – Bhushan Dayama, Mohan Kalamkar, Vinod Channe, Mohan and Kharah.
Based on the information they received, the team launched an investigation.
The team during the probe on Monday received information about the defendant came to the Kalyan court with the intention to secure a guarantee for a murder captured by Dombivli GRP.
Acting on this information, the team arrested the lawyer Rafiq Sheikh, his father Hameed Hashmi, Bogus guarantor bail Santosk Morya and Jaipal Jogiri from the court where they could get a guarantee to accuse murder.
The team during the interrogation knew that the defendant fifth, Chandrakant Khamkar, who used to prepare fake documents, remained in Vasai, and the crime branch team then arrested him.
Shirsath told Tii, “Initially, lawyer Rafiq Sheikh during the interrogation told us that all the documents were original, but in further investigation, we found documents for falsified.” Shirsath further said, “All who are accused of coming from the Mumbai and Vasai regions and.
We are very suspicious that many of which are accused of in different courts in Mumbai and Thane have secured a guarantee using these fake documents.
We have taken their custody to expose the thing same.
