The ganga water level in Patna rose further by 15cm

Patna: The water level in Ganga in Patna increased further by 15cm on Saturdays and rivers continued to flow above the danger level in Dighha and Gandhi Ghat by more than one meter.
The increase in water surface is in the range of 12cm to 16cm along the downstream of the river from Hathidah to Kahalgaon.
As a result, panic gripping the people who live in the area under the North Patna which is still worried about further increase on the surface of the river.
Similar sentiment was expressed in other cities such as Munger, Bhagalpur and Kahalgaon.
In Hathidah, rumors spread that the embankment was violated there because Ganga continued to flow at the highest flood rate (HFL) 43.33 meters for the second day in a row.
The water level in the ganga in Digha on Patna is 1.16 meters above the danger and at Gandhi Ghat 1.63 meters on Friday.
However, on Saturday, he flowed 1.32 meters above the danger level in Dighha and 1.78 meters above the red mark in Gandhi Ghat.
In Gandhi Ghat, HFL is 50.52 meters and Ganga flows on a sign of 50.38 meters on Saturday, only 14cm under HFL.
At Kahalgaon, it flows 1.21 meters above the danger level and on 86cm bhagalpur above the red mark.
The source of the Department of Water Resources (WRD) said the only positive sign for that day was that the river flowed 1.59 meters below the danger level in Allahabad and only 38cm above the red sign in Varanasi, while it was stable in Buxar, flowing 83cm above the danger level.
“If there is no rain at the top of the ganga and in the KEN basin, Betwta and the Chambal River for a week, Ganga will begin to flow to the level of the danger in the stretch in the next week,” said the WRD source.
On the other hand, WRD expects the peak of the third flood in the state between August 15 and September 10.
