The gap in disease control achieves livestock sector growth: panel

New Delhi: Records a large-scale prevalence of animal diseases as “the biggest obstacle for the growth of livestock sector”, parliamentary panels have referred to certain gaps in the Indian Disease Control Program, animal infrastructure and availability of animal vaccines.
It also expressed concern for the failure of the Ministry of Animal Husbandry to put the norms for training and education at poultry farms despite experiencing a rampant annual incidence of bird flu or bird flu in the country.
The permanent parliamentary committee on agriculture has submitted its report to Parliament on August 10 on the Veterinary Infrastructure Front, the panel feels need to be focused on identifying the most vulnerable state / UT and encouraging them to utilize the infrastructure.
It was said that of the 10 main deficiency countries in the veterinary infrastructure identified in 2019, seven had submitted a proposal to receive the funds.
