Gurgaon: The City and State Planning Department (DTCP) has served the notification of the show to developers of nine housing projects after finding gaps in the application of rainwater harvesting systems.
Developers of these projects, most of whom existed in new sectors, have been asked to submit compliance reports on September 19 with illustrated evidence to provide a hole to the Welfare Association (RWAS) for the system and cleaning of harvesting structures.
The District Planner District (Enforcement) Batth Hospital said the developer was also asked to explain why penalty in accordance with the environmental protection law, 1986, should not be imposed on them.
On May 27, Deputy Commissioner of Gurgaon, Yash Garg, directed the district city planner to conduct a survey to check the right function of the rain harvesting system, which included the roof harvesting structure.
Then, BATTH, which is also a nodal officer for harvesting rain in the city, conducting a survey in three phases.
“In the first phase, the sector 58 to 69 was borne.
The second phase includes areas under the corporation of Manesar City and the third phase sectors along the Dwarka toll road,” he said.
The survey was conducted on July 15, 22 and between August 5 and 6.
The DTCP enforcement team was assisted by officials from Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP), Gurgaon and Manesar City companies and the Police Department during the study.
The teams found that developers and Rwa in nine communities did not implement guidelines for the necessary cleaning and functionality standards.
Builders and Rwas have been asked to comply with the rules to make their rainwater harvest systems functional.
According to Haryana Building Code, 2017, all housing communities must ensure that the harvesting structure of rainwater is maintained and improved to store water for purposes that cannot be taken in the effort to fill ground water.
