Jaipur: A 17-year-old girl is reunited with her parents seven years after she was kidnapped from a marriage in Gujarat when she was only 10 years old and was taken to the Nagaur by the gang who wanted to force her to beggars.
The girl, however, then managed to escape and went to the police, who saw four other children kidnapped by the same gang saved by the police and the criminals were arrested.
The girl was taken to a shelter at Ajmer, but the authorities failed to find their parents for years.
Now, the new team, forming a few months ago, has tracked them and handed over their daughter on Monday.
Sangeeta Beniwal, Chairperson, Rajasthan State Commission for the protection of children’s rights, told Tii, “The child was kidnapped from the marriage seven years ago by the gang that took him to Nagaur’s Gotan.
While in captivity, he realized that there were four other children with him and The perpetrators planned to take him to Bikaner to encourage them to beggars.
However, he fled and reached the police who saved the other children and arrested the gang based on the information.
“Gang members were arrested and sentenced to 10 years in prison, but the girl’s parents were sentenced can not be found.
“The girl lives in the shelter of children in ajmer and gradually looking for her parents also faded into the background.
I met her a few months ago and she told me about her case, following the one I wrote to the district police that formed a team consisting Of the five members.
Parents are finally tracked and after their daughter also recognizes her.
They have a reunion full of tears but happy.

Parents told officials that the girl was their oldest child and, despite complaints to the police, their efforts to find their daughter in vain.
