Tirupur: The body of a 14-year-old girl, who was drifting on the Parambikulam -aliard Project (PAP) channel in Palladam in the Tirupur district on Saturday, was taken on Monday.
S Sakungthala Devi has reached a canal bank with three friends on Saturday morning.
While they tried to wash their hands and feet, the girls fell into the canal.
None of them can swim.
The villagers managed to save three girls but Devi was washed by strong water flows.
The team of firefighters from the Palladam fire station launched a search, but they could not continue work because the water was released from the Thirumoorthy Dam.
The search continued on Monday.
