PANAJI: Following the backlash of students, the state government has replied to a steep increase that was recently implemented in the cost of the dental cave college program.
In accordance with the new direction, the cost for the MDS program at Goa Dental College has now been cut and reduced from Rs 1.2 lakh per semester to 52,000 per semester.
Referrals also state that for further costs at Goa Medical College and Goa Dental College will be turned on only 5% every year.
“The cost was revised for the MDS course at Goa Dental College and the hospital again revised and reduced retrospectively with the effect of November 6, 2020, equivalent to MD / MS MD Goa Medical College,” Circular was issued by the Secretary of Under (Health).

The directives also say that the excess costs paid by students will be returned or adjusted in future payments because of students, if any.
“The government has decided that further every academic year of tuition fees for all courses at Goa Medical College and Goa Dental College will be revised by five percent automatically, until the government considers further revision,” Baja Round.
