Thiruvananthapuram: With agents such as PWD, Kiifb and RKI conducted several infrastructure projects and a lack of coordination between them delay the implementation of these projects, the government has decided to increase the District Coordination Committee by baptizing it as an inter-nation-connecting body.

This will be the responsibility of the committee to ensure that permission to cut the road (in the case of several projects) is given and it is returned in sequence.
The committee will review and monitor the implementation of the project as a whole, identify constraints and gaps in the project, and report progress to the department concerned.
The Committee was asked to receive MLA assistance in dealing with problems in the field during the implementation of the project and developed the District Infrastructure Transformation Plan.
The Committee will include the Regional Development Commissioner, Deputy Collector (Procurement of Land), Deputy Collector (NH Land Procurement), NHAI Project Director, Executive Engineer of all PWD wings, project management units and other infrastructure departments.
Has been asked to involve all MLA at a committee meeting.
While DDC or sub-collectors will become nodal officials for the committee, executive engineer PWD (road) will be the organizer of the committee.
The PWD Minister and Secretary of the PWD will take part in the Committee meeting of each district in two months.
Also, RBDCK MD SUHAS and KRFB CEO and Director of the KSTP Sambasiva RAO project are appointed as state-level nodal officers for the overall supervision of the project.
