New Delhi: Immediately you will be able to repair your BS-VI gasoline car with CNG Kit, which can reduce fuel expenditure to almost 40-50%.
The Ministry of Transportation on Thursday issued a notification concept to set other emissions and norms for the retrofitment.
Officials said requests were felt for some time because currently only vehicles that adhere to the BS-VI emissions are sold throughout the country.
Until now vehicles that meet emissions norms to BS-IV are permitted for CNG retrofitment.
“This is a very positive step by the government as a CNG as fuel will bring great help to ordinary people from high expenses on gasoline.
Secondly, this is green fuel.
Because the government has proposed a CNG retrofitment kit in vehicle engine capacity up to 1500 cc , it will cover all cars and also some SUVs, “said Anil Chhikara transportation.
He added that the change needed to remember that it was mandatory for a commercial vehicle plying in Delhi and the suburbs must be on CNG.
Ministry, in a notification draft, has said this will be permitted for vehicles that have gross vehicles (GVW) up to 3.5 tons and type approval for vehicles installed with a CNG kit will apply for three years and the agreement will be updated for every three years year at once.
Industrial sources say CNG retrofitment in vehicles such as kits can be around Rs 50,000 per vehicle, but the owner will restore the account quickly because it saves fuel costs.
