The Government Assam will attract 75% board quota from City Colleges

Guwahati: In the midst of pressure from students and parents, the Government Assam has decided to withdraw a previous decision to order 75 percent of seats in undergraduate courses for board state pass-out in all government-managed universities.
However, Minister of Education Roman Pegu on Tuesday said Board-based reservations will be in rural areas, while seats will be open to students from all councils in urban areas.
“75% order seat for Assam Board students will not apply in urban areas.
In urban areas, students from all boards must compete for chair courses in the title.
This will be purely based on their services,” he said.

The Ministry of Education officials said that because schools affiliated with CBSE and other boards, especially in urban areas, Formula 75:25 for all states will seize a number of student futures from undergraduate courses.
But the lack of clarity from the Ministry of Education still survived and several leading city universities told TII that they had not received a written direction from the Ministry of Education on the revised chair reservation policy.
Meanwhile, Cotton University on Tuesday announced the acceptance of candidates who qualified as programs under the postgraduate based on a series of criteria.
“List of achievements for acceptance of eligible candidates will be prepared based on scores from the entrance test conducted by the University – Cotton Under-Bachelor of the entrance 2021 (blade 2021) plus 40 percent of the total marks (English + 4 best subjects) secured from 500 in Qualification exam (class XII), “read a statement from a leading state university.
The tentative date of opening the online application link is August 21, he added.
Students of CBSE and CISCE and their parents have expressed serious concern for 75 percent seat reservations in the first semester of degree programs for board state pass-out, notified by the command of the Directorate of Higher Education.
In such circumstances, it is feared that some private universities in urban areas can take advantage, while many students will be forced to move to rural college to find chairs.
Many academics and students still demand the withdrawal of board-based reservations.
The Head of the South Point School, Guwahati, K.
Chanda, said the efforts were proposed from a 75 percent seat for AHSEC pass-out anywhere in the state unfair and disabled.
“To refuse to enter candidates from CBSE or CISCE or limit their number based on several quotas, there will be a gross injustice to students, especially for those who come from a recognized board and affiliated schools operate in the country.
Maybe it also does not collect legal supervision, if it is challenged , “Chanda said.
Sweety Goswami cleanses class XII from Maharishi Vidyamandir, Barsajai, with flying colors.
He had not yet decided whether to study at the University of Tezpur or at a city campus, but the government’s decision was also a surprise for him.
“There is no choice for students this year.
Everyone must follow formula-based evaluations.
There is a caste-based reservation for students.
Board-based reservations will only make it difficult for the receipt process,” he added.
