New Delhi: Order a fresh vaccine placed by the Center at the price of RS 215 which was revised for the Covishield and Rs 225 for the dose of Covaxin, according to an official source.
“We are on track to reach the 50-crore dose target on July 31, it is very important to fulfill our target coverage by the end of this year,” said senior official.
Nearly 40 doses of crores were given throughout the country until 10pm.
While the center has indicated the availability of 13.5 doses of crore for July, a new order of 66 crore doses for government procurement along with additional advance payments that have been made by the Center to order 30 doses of covid biological vaccine crore expected to increase supply.
While the previous center bought a vaccine with Rs 150 per dose, it showed that it would revise the price of vaccines after a changing procurement plan began to apply since June 21.
“Logistics management must be linked to production and availability at the field level, and while we value the state care to get more vaccine doses, we must also appreciate how the Indian government increases production and the paral ensures that 75% of doses are free to state,” said Secretary Combined LAV Agarwal Ministry of Health.
