Hyderabad: Responding to the petition at the National Green Tribunal (NGT) who accused the disposal of debris-debris-debris secretariat at Hussainsagar, the state has claimed that 1.4 lakh tons of construction waste from the site was sent to the processing plant Jeedimetla .
However, Aftensif State, silent on the satellite image quoted by Petitioner Lubna Sarwat to claim the debris of the old secretariat used to violate the lake.
“The Petitioner has filed an objection that with the guise of the improvement of the Weir surplus, Hussainsagar FTL was damaged, Bed Lake Exposed and the material was discarded near Kukatpally Nala.

On the sewerage plan in and around City, the report stated The Hyderabad Metropolitan Air Supply and Board Sewerage (HMWS & SB) was quantified by the generation of total waste AS1,950 MLD in the ORR which included GHMC.
“There are around 25 pejars with a capacity of 772 months.
Technical Consultant Shah, Mumbai, involved by HMWS & SB to prepare a comprehensive sewerage plan for GHMC and suggest 31 stps with a treatment capacity of 1,259 MLD in three packages.” Development Agency 17 STP with capacity.
376 MLD which falls under the catch of Husshainsagar has been completed and the work is underway.
The remaining 14 stps along the Musi and water with a capacity of 883mmd have not received administrative sanctions, the state said.
There are 3 STPS of HMDA for HussainSagar – Balkapurnala (20mld), Nala Picket (30 MLD) and Rangadhamuni Cheruvu, Kukatpally (5 MLD) – and the processed water is being thrown into the lake to maintain the hydraulic balance, the state said.
