The government distorts HC’s orders in the survey, Satheani said

Thiruvananthapuram: The government misinterpreted a high court permit to conduct a survey for Silverline projects as permits to implement the project, said the opposition leader VD Satheesan.
At his Facebook post, the opposition leader said that the government misinterpreted a court order and spread the wrong information.
The court has given permission only to conduct surveys as part of social impact assessment.
He said that the court has given permission based on government guarantees that land acquisition will not be carried out without permission from the Ministry of Train Union Objectives, below Section 6 Survey Law and limits, 1961.
Opposition is also in accordance with the observation of the court that the community has the right to know about the procedure for land acquisition and its impact, he said.
He said that misinterpreting court orders was just fooling the community.
