The government elongated the period of office probing 1984 anti-Sikh Riots

Kanpur: Mastery of the Special Investigation Team (Set) investigating the 1984 anti-sikh riots has been extended six months.
Sit had written a letter to the state government to extend the term of office.
Sitting now given time to complete the investigation and make arrests in May 2022.
The case investigation is almost over.
After the document, only the arrest of arrest is now delayed.
In the anti-Sikh riot, 127 people were killed in Kanpur after the murder of Indira Gandhi’s prime minister on November 1, 1984.

Other members are retired district judges Subhash Chandra Agarwal and retirees of additional directions (prosecution) Yogeshwar Krishna Srivastava.
SP Balaikik Bhushan Singh is his member secretary.
