The government is looking for parliament nodded for additional expenditure Rs 23,675 Crore

New Delhi: Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday seeks parliamentary nod to spend an additional clean Rs 23,675 Crore, including RS 17,000 Crore for the Ministry of Health, in the current financial year.
In accordance with the first batch of additional demands for grants submitted in Lok Sabha by Sitharaman, although the gross additional expenditure is more than Rs 1.87 lakh Crore in 2021-22, the actual cash outgo will only be RS 23,674.81 Crore as the remaining expenses will be meet through savings and receipt and higher recovery.
Most of the total gross expenditure is to transfer to the state for shortage of Cess tax compensation goods and services.
Rs 1.59 lakh Crore will be transferred to the state as a back-to-back loan instead of lack of GST compensation.

To fulfill various health preparedness related to Covid, RS 16,463 Crore Extra has been intended for the Department of Health and family welfare.
Additional Crore RS 526 has been given to the Ministry of Health for Preparedness and Emergency Epidemic Response.
Approval for Rs 2,050 Crore for the Civil Service Ministry is being sought, which includes Rs 1,872 Crore on loans and progress for Air India to change advances from Indian contingency funds.
Cash Outgo also includes 1,100 crore Rs for the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution to provide assistance to sugar factories for the 2019-20 sugar season.
In addition, nodding to spend an additional RS 1,222 Crore under the Department of Pharmacy Heads have been sought towards government loans from Indian Medicines and Pharmaceuticals Ltd (RS 889.50 Crore) and neglect of Government Loans (Rs 107.49 Crore) and flowers Still Paid (RS 86.22 Crore) From Bengal Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
Excessive Expenditure Grants for the Department of Pharma also includes additional expenditures for cleaning pending employee contributions from Hindustan Antibiotics Ltd.

Additional expenditures more than and above the total expenditure of RS 34.83 Lakh Crore are projected in a budget of 2021-22.
