The government is responsible for the disruption of the parliamentary process, it must discuss the issue of Pegasus: Congress

New Delhi: Congress on Friday held a government responsible for process disruptions in parliament, saying this happened because it avoided discussions about the problem of Pegasus reconnaissance.
The opposition leader at Rajya Sabha Malikarjun Kharge said it was not an opposition but the government had avoided Parliament on this issue.
“The government must approve a discussion about Pegasus problems because all opposition parties want it.
Save privacy, basic rights and democracy are very important in the country and Pegasus is related to this,” he told reporters.
Claiming that some people have peered, Kharge says all opposition feels that the problem is important.
He said in Israel, the government there had raided the NSO company and had stopped using spyware in all countries.
“This means that reconnaissance is being carried out, especially in our country since 2019,” Kharge said.
Pegasus has been developed by the NSO Group.
“There is no government that allows others to lurk their people, but it is permitted for Israeli companies.
Is state security is safe, when data comes out of the country.
That is why we want full discussion at home,” The word Congress leader said.
“But the government is not ready and vice versa accusing us to disturb the parliament,” he said.
Kharge said the process was not disturbed for the first time and claimed that the former Arun Jaitley opposition leader and Sushma Swaraj said disturbances were also part of democracy.
“This is done for democracy and supports the people,” he said.
Quoting inflation, the increase in fuel prices, farmer protests against the three Agri laws and the issue of Rafale’s agreement, the leader of the Congress said that “we know there are so many problems and we want to take one problem at one time”.
Kharge said all parties met in the morning and in one voice said they had raised the accusations of Pegasus peering and wanted to discuss about it.
“We fight unite in this problem and we want to discuss.
We involve everyone,” he said.
Kharge said that “the government has called us and we are ready to discuss with all leaders”.
“On Thursday, the leader of the Minister of Houses and Parliament Pralhad Joshi came to my room and wanted opposition support to run a smooth house,” he said.
The leader of Congress P Chidambaram asked if the government would hand over “attitudes like ostriches” and agreed to opposition requests for full discussion.
“Will the government give up his attitude that is not an ostrich and agree to the opposition request for full discussion in parliament about pegasus spyware abuse in India? How long does the government get a government duck and hide and armed when all the desired is full opposition.
Debate?” Chidambaram said on Twitter.
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said, “One of the basic principles of de in parliament is that while the government has an opposition to say.” “But Modi Sarkar believes in ‘my path or highway’.
That is why Parliament cannot function,” he said Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have seen repeatedly disorders and failed to transact any business after opposition that supports their requests for discussion about Pegasus Snooping Row since the Monsun session began on July 19.
