Thiruvananthapuram: The government has decided that all deaths that occur outside the hospital in a month Covid-19 contract can be considered as Covid’s death for the purpose of providing ex-gratia compensation.
The latest order, in this case, was issued after several cases reported from Katasagod, where the natives died because of Covid-19 at Mangaluru Hospital and they could not obtain a certificate stating that their death was caused by Covid-19 infection.
The collector had given Know the government that until October 21 last year, 50 such cases have emerged where individuals die because of Covid-19 at Mangaluru Hospital and all their relatives have a positive Covid certificate and death certificate.
