The government k’taka is determined to place Kannada & Kannadigas first

Nearly 24 hours after the High Court suggested that non-carnatakaka students cannot be forced to study Kannada or other languages, Head of the Minister of Basavaraj Bommai, with a passion that can be easily taken to challenge, say the government will continue to struggle to make a mandatory subject language, not only In elementary and secondary schools, but at the title level too.
Three days later, Bommai, in a state speech in the country’s formation on November 1, promised that he was committed to building Kannada supremacy in Karnataka, and promised to order 75% of work for Kannadigas in the government and private sector.
Previous major ministers have made an appointment on similar lines.
And remember the obstacles of legal and strong political compulsion, it will require the will of iron and steel nerves for the Bommai government to maintain His Word.
High court observation is an example.
Observations were made during the court hearing the petition that challenged the government’s policy mandating Kannada as the subject of a degree program.
The government has formulated language policies in accordance with national education policies (NEP), but the court asked the state to redrit a portion of the line.
“This is just an example of how steps to protect the interests of local residents and local languages in India are full of legal and procedural challenges,” said Manu Kumar Raje Urs, a language activist.
“Bommai must show determination to face this challenge and give an appointment.” JC Madhuswamy, Minister of Law and Parliament, said the government was preparing to convince the high court that the country’s language policy was formulated under the NEP in line with the center vision of building the country’s federal structure.
“We will bring this to the Notice of the Karnataka High Court,” he said.
In line with the Center’s policy, Karnataka has also taken steps to introduce Kannada’s media instruction in professional universities.
Approval has been given to four Engineering Universities – Bheemanna Khandre Institute of Technology (Bhalki), SGC Institute of Technology (Chikkaballapur), Maharaja Institute of Technology (MySuru) and BLDEB Institute of Technology (Vijayapura) – to teach students from civil and mechanical flow .
on Kannada.
“This must be expanded to all engineering branches and all professional courses.
Textbooks and faculties needed must be available,” said TS Nagabaharaana, Chairperson, Kannada Development Authority (KDA).
The implementation of the Sarojini Mahishi report about work for Kannadigas, which has hung fires for decades, is another challenge Bommai has received happily.
He plans to ensure implementation through effective industrial policies.
A report revised by KDA stated that 100% of the post c and D (clerical and lower assistants) will be reserved for Kannadigas, while 80% of the category B (supervision) and 65% of the posting (managerial) posts will be reserved for locals .
This applies to government and personal work, including IT-BT companies.
“We are committed to implementing this report.
We are studying the revised version and the cabinet will decide on approval,” said Bommai.
