New Delhi: On Gandhi Jayanti’s occasion, the government on Saturday launched a web portal to bring together technology providers, government stakeholders and urban local bodies to find solutions to Indian waste problems.
Vijay Raghavan’s main scientific advisor said the ‘waste to wealth’ portal aims to allow collaboration for sustainable development.
“At #Gandhijayanti 2021, go up to Swachh Bharat, the unnat bharat mission; office @PrinsciaDvoff launched the @wasteto_wealth portal to allow collaboration for sustainable development through a circular economy & community participation,” Raghavan tweeted.
“Mission @Wasteto_Wealth #PMSTiac aims to allow collaboration to validate decentralized scientific solutions: feasible, pragmatic, and can be applied in restricted resource / land settings.
Treat waste in the source; zero & zero-landfill approach,” he said.
In other tweets, the Ministry of Science and Technology said the portal was aimed at bringing together technology providers, government stakeholders and urban local bodies to find solutions to Indian waste problems.
