The government launched an education scheme for girls from ST Community

PANAJI: The Tribal Welfare Directorate launched the Vidya Laxmi scheme to promote education among girls from the tribal community scheduled and to help a weaker part of the community.
Under the scheme, RS 25,000 will be given as a fixed deposit on behalf of girls and officers who are nominated by the state.
This number will be given to the beneficiaries only after he cleans the XII Council exam.
Every daughter who has passed the class X examination and got a ticket entry to class XI from any flow (Science / Arts / Trade / Vocational / ITI) qualify for benefits under the scheme.
Likewise, girls from families were told as st in the constitutional order and whose annual income did not exceed Rs 3 Lakh per year, as certified by implementing agencies, qualified.
This scheme involves recurrent spending arising from state consolidation funds.
Every eligible daughter who wants to take advantage of benefits must provide proof of ownership of aadhaar or undergo Aadhaar authentication.
If he doesn’t have aadhaar number, he must make an application for Aadhaar registration.
Settings have been made to ensure that any technical difficulties will not come in how to channel the benefits.
