KOLLAM: MP NK Premachandran on Tuesday demanded that the state government must move the High Court to seek the death penalty for Sooraj punished in the case of Uthra murder.
Speaking to the media after meeting with family members Uthra of Velaseril, Eram, Anchal, here in their home, he said the state government must respect the opinion of the family’s family.
He showed that although the Uthra case was one of the rare rare cases, the court did not order the death penalty.
Although the collection of evidence and behavior of cases by prosecution is done in a perfect way, prisoners do not get decent punishment, he said.
Sooraj, Uthra’s husband who used a snake to kill his wife, a different woman, received a double life in addition to 17 years of hard prison in four cases accused him.
