The Government of Assam to develop a medical science curriculum in Vernacular

Guwahati: The Assam government has encouraged the medical science curriculum in vernacular language during the fifth general council meeting of the Srimanta Sankardeva University of Health Sciences on Sunday, which was attended by the chairman of the Ministers and Chancellor of the University, in Himanta Buswa Sarma, at the State Secretariat here.
The representative of the University Chancellor, Dr.
Dhrubajyoti Borah, has been entrusted with the task of taking the initiative for the medical science curriculum in vernacular language, because the General Council discusses the suggestions carried out by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in connection with the development of curriculum medicine in vernacular.
The release of the office of the minister’s chairman stated that the General Council, after detailed discussions, took several major decisions aimed at improving the academic environment and carrying a strong administrative mechanism at the university.
CM Sarma emphasizes the need for a permanent campus of the university in a meeting to streamline its functions.
He asked VC and Chief Engineers, PWD (Health and Education) to ensure the initial settlement of the initial process for the construction of administrative buildings with the university boundary walls on the ground provided by the government for the purpose of Baila Chariai so that administrative and basic academic activities can be made from the campus a period of two years.
Other major decisions taken at the meeting include digitizing certain services from universities, the introduction of the Three-level Fellowship program, namely senior fellowship (PG level), fellowship (degree) and fellowship courses (dental, nursing), suitable.
Arrangements for medical college inspections to ensure best practices and quality services, uniform academic routines for all medical universities that function under universities and unique identification numbers for students and faculties.
CM also requests a university to focus on research that can be translated from “laboratories to fields” with the intention of benefiting ordinary people.
Health of State and Minister of Welfare of the Welfare of the Keshab Mahanta Family, Education Nani Gopal Mahanta, Primary Secretary for CM, Samir Kumar Sinha, Main Secretary (Health), Anurag Goel, Main Secretary (Education), Betyan Chakravarthy and Director of Medical Education, Assam, DR Anup Kumar Barman among other government officials attended the meeting.
