The government of West Bengal carries a line of scholarships

Kolkata: Chairman of the Minister of Mamata Banerjee on Thursday relaxed the feasibility criteria for higher education scholarships provided by the state from 75% to 60% this year, bringing a greater collection of students under the ambition.
While scholarships have benefited 1,07,938 students last year, 3,19,327 students will be eligible for this year’s scholarship.
The announcement was carried out on Thursday in a program to annoying high goalscorers in the State Council exam.
About 1,700 virtually top scorers.
“Be positive, remain positive,” CM told students who would receive books written by Rabindranath Tagore, Subhas Chandra Bose and Banerjee.
Swami Scholarship Vivekananda Merit-cum-Means is distributed to students to merit by the state government every year.
Last year, 6,740 engineering and 2,381 medical students received each RS 5,000, 2,139 Polytechnic students received Rs 1,500 respectively and 96,678 undergraduate students each received RS 1,000 respectively.
This year, the number of students who can utilize scholarships will be more.
CM also announced that the government would hand over 3 Lakh cycles for girls as part of Sabuj Sathi’s scheme and gave each Rs 10,000 to 10 lakh students to buy tablets or smartphones so they could attend online classes.
