Gurgaon: To support farmers in their irrigation requirements, the new and renewable energy department Haryana has decided to provide a subsidy of 75% in the purchase of solar power pump 3-10 horsepower (HP).
The department has invited applications from beneficiaries that meet the requirements until December 27.
Deputy Commissioner of Gurgaon Wishram Kumar Meena said that around 8,629 solar-powered pumps will be given to farmers Haryana on subsidies of 75%.
“This pump will only be given to farmers who are in micro irrigation such as drip or sprinkler irrigation and irrigation fields by pressing ground pipes,” he said.
‘We invite applications from farmers who want to take advantage of the benefits of 75% of subsidies at solar pumps until December 27.
There are three categories of pumps – 3 hp, 7.5 hp, and 10 hp – which are included in the subsidy scheme.
The adoption of solar pumps will promote a shift towards newer and sustainable energy sources.
This will help farmers to meet their irrigation needs too, “Meena added.
Farmers are asked to fill out the form, choose their chosen solar pump, and pay the share of prices on the portal.
After the form is received and received, it will take around three months to distribute the department to distribute This pump to beneficiaries, officials said.
