Written by news2in

New Delhi: Rajya Sabha on Tuesday witnessed an emotional discussion on a pandemic where 26 members of the 21 parties were reduced in the second wave devastating amid fears of the upcoming third wave.
While the opposition accuses the government is not ready for the second wave, the treasury bench against the demands, citing the schedule of decisions and actions taken by the government – starting from adding oxygen supply and accelerating vaccination.
Opposition leader Malikarjun Kharge led the charge criticizing PM Narendra Modi to “violate the belief” of the people who followed what he said.
Questioning the official death victim, he asked, “Is the number of deaths from Covid remains a mystery?” He also alleged that PM had made Harsh Vardhan, who was the Minister of Health of Trade Unions until the recent reshuffle, “scapegoats”.
Reacting to criticism, members of BJP Vinay Sahasrabuddhe wondered why the opposition chose to attack every government and PM action and called “ideological jaundice”.
Union Minister HardeeP Puri denied allegations that the government’s response to pandemics was postponed and said India was the first person to stop flights from China.
