The government revised the guidelines for political rallies

Bhubaneswar: The state government on Wednesday revised the guidelines on political meetings after the State Election Commission (SEC) imposed restrictions on demonstration behavior, roadshows, and inyatra during Pancrayat polls.
While the state government has enabled a political meeting of 100 people in the guidelines issued on January 5, has been banned in revised guidelines.
It was said to remember Covid-19, a campaign in a large group was not allowed.
The number of people has been limited to five.
February Pancrayat selection will be arranged by guidelines issued by the revised guidelines.
The guidelines say candidates can conduct a door-to-door campaign with a maximum of five supporters, maintaining social blasphemy and mandator wearing masks.
Priority must be given to campaign through social or electronic media.
Positive candidates will limit their campaign through electronic media only because government guidelines strictly prohibit their physical presence on canvas.
Political parties and candidates who have their offices in different environments have been ordered to ask workers to wear facial masks and to clean their hands.
