The government team to visit Japan immediately explored investment options

Bhubaneswar: Delegation of government-government tends to visit Japan immediately to discuss investment opportunities in Odisha with Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings, which is a follow-up act of a recent organized Japanese seminar.
Secretary of State Industries Hemant Sharma said the results of the Japanese seminar was that the Mitsubishi group had expressed interest in investing in the country, especially in the chemical sector.
“Our officials will soon visit Japan to discuss investment opportunities in Odisha with Mitsubishi Group.
There are several other directives, which we follow in prospective investors,” Sharma said.
Official sources say the promotion of the Industrial and Investment Corporation of Odisha (iPicol) has worked on a schedule for the proposed visit to Japan.
During the seminar, the Industrial Secretary highlighted the natural advantage that Odisha had in terms of the mineral-based industry.
“We have been able to attract investments in RS 4 lakh crore in the past two years.
Now, because of large investments in infrastructure, ports, trains, roads, power and skills development, we are the goal of choice to diversify the industry,” Sharma explained.
He also talked about the infrastructure and industry special opportunities in Odisha for industrial growth.
Satoshi Suzuki Ambassador, who led the business delegation to Odisha as part of a business summit, appreciated the efforts of the country in attracting investment from abroad, including a large number of Japanese companies.
He also praised Go-Swift, a single window portal to facilitate all industrial, incentive and various services.
Diplomat said the number of Japanese companies in Odisha has increased in the past 10 years.
Foreign Secretary of the Foreignation Union Harsh Vardhan Shringla, who is part of the seminar, gave a briefing of the Japanese delegation about the scheme and recent actions grew up by the center to increase industrial and economic growth.
Secretary of the union also praised the state industry infrastructure.
The top executives from companies such as ArcelorMittal Nipon Steel, Trl Krosaki, Tata Group, Aditya Birla, Indo-Nissin food, Reliance and mind sword, who have invested in Odisha, share their experiences with prospective investors from Japan.
Welcoming Japanese investors to Odisha, the State Minister for the State of Shankar Mishra said Japan had become a valuable partner of India and Odisha.
“Our country, under the leadership of the Head of the Minister of Naveen Patnaik, is committed to building eternal relations with Japan, both in the field of industry and culture,” Mishra said.
