The government to announce the revised theater celebration schedule on January 31

Nagpur: The Directorate of Culture, Maharashtra has decided to issue a revised schedule for the 60th Marathi Theater Festival on January 31.
The flagship theater competition which was very popular among amateur theater artists was canceled only three days before starting in January.
15 at 20 centers in all states.
Artists throughout the country have condemned this decision because they have agreed to appear in the cinema without an audience too.
However, the competition was canceled.
On January 20, the artist had a video conference with the Director of Bibhishan Chawre’s cultural affairs, Assistant Director of Shriram Pande, supervisor of the Birje Theater, and others.
Authorities agree to consider the artist’s request.
“We will review Covid conditions on January 31 and positively announce new schedules,” Chawre said.
The artistes theater in Nagpur, Nanded and many other centers have sent emails to the Directorate of Cultural Affairs after the event canceled.
One of the competition coordinators, Dinesh Kawde has arranged a virtual meeting of theater artists with the officials of the cultural directorate to sort this problem.
In Nagpur, 23 dramas were chosen for competition and the schedule was also stated.
The theater group was angry with the committee after they canceled the event only three days before the scheduled start.
They also demanded their guarantee returns and the costs they encountered during training.
When the state government has allowed schools and colleges to be continued from January 24, the theater artistes also wanted to continue their appearance.
The state theater festival was canceled in 2020 and 2021 because Covid.
This year, artists believe that competition will be held when holding on to the Covid protocol.
