Patna: The State Education Department reviewed the progress of the literacy program launched in nine elected districts for children of Mahadalits, Dialships, and a very backward community, working with the Directorate of Education and Pratam, and decided to expand to all the remaining districts in Bihar.
Education Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, who led this review meeting, told this newspaper on Tuesday that the performance of the nine-district scheme for the past three years was found quite satisfactory, and was decided to implement the educational pattern that the same shortcomings in all districts.
In addition, it was decided to strengthen the skills of building the main speaker capacity for ‘Akshar Anchal Yojana’, as well as the learning abilities of children and their mothers.
The minister said, “The registration of children in schools increased to 98% as a result of the implementation of teaching at the right level (TARL) in Nalanda District, Vaishali, Arwal, Jehanabad, Araria, Purnia, and Kishangan, and Supaul in 2018- 19.
Language and arithmetic learning rates of target group children increased significantly.
However, women continue to have the lowest literacy level in this country.
