Patna: State farmers who cannot plant their plants because floods will also be given financial assistance from the state government.
Cm Nith Kumar on Wednesday asked all district judges (DMS) and the Department of Agriculture officials to consider ‘non-planting plants due to floods’ as ‘cases of plant losses’ and provide adequate assistance to the farmers.
He also asked officials to make the right assessment for all cases of other crop losses and ensure timely financial assistance to farmers affected throughout the state.
CM was issued instructions to officials, especially DMS, after he reviewed a wise flood and a bit of a marathon or more than five and a half hours.
Both representatives of CMS and almost all other cabinet ministers, senior bureaucrats, Division Commissioners, DMS, and field police officers such as IGS / Angs and SPS participated in meetings through video conferencing.
Nitish requested officials of the Disaster Management Department (DMD), the Ministry of Agriculture and the DM to conduct an appropriate rating of Panchayat-wise from plants losses in the next three to four days, so that all affected farmers can provide financial assistance.
The responsible ministers will visit the district and hold a meeting with the DM concerned to provide the final form on the assessment.
Nitish requests the Department of Animal and Fisheries Resources to make the right assessment of loss of livestock in the flood-affected area and take steps needed to help animal guards.
The State Water Resources Department (WRD) was asked to work on a long-term plan for repeated flood permanent solutions so that the impact can be minimized.
Previously, when making a detailed presentation of the flood scenario, Pratyaya Amrit’s additional school (DMD) said this year the country faced a flood situation in three phases – 13 to 17 June, 1 to 7 August and 8 to 22.
