Thiruvananthapuram: The government will provide bonus and festival benefits to his employees in front of the upcoming festival season, Finance Minister KN Balagopal said on Wednesday.
In his reply at an additional request for grants, the minister said that even though there was a serious financial crisis, the government would provide festival benefits to those on a certain scale of salary and bonuses for those under the scale.
The bonus is Rs 4,000 and those who do not qualify for a bonus will get a festival allowance of Rs 2,750.
The government will also provide RS 15,000 as a down payment on all employees with these conditions must be repaid in the same five installments.
Other employees – part time and contingent – will be given a down payment onam rs 5,000.
Thirteen Lakh employees will benefit from that step.
Pension services will be given a festival allowance of Rs 1,000.
He also asked them who could donate bonuses and benefits to the Minister of Chief Assistance.
