Kolkata: Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Monday said he had blocked Jagdeep Governor Dhankhar on Twitter to protest “his unconstitutional and unethical actions” which pushed “BJP Goonda” to kill TMC workers.
The comment was made for hours after TMC MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay approached President Kovind in Parliament with a request to remove Dhankhar from the position of Governor Bengal.
The Head of the State Congress Adhir Chowdhury supports requests.
Dhankhar quickly responds.
“The mandate is based on Article 159 of the Constitution to ensure that there is no legal norms and rules of the ‘block’ of the state and those who are authorized, carrying true faith and loyalty to the Constitution,” he tweeted.
Banerjee said he was forced to prevent him on Twitter.
“His actions incited BJP Goonda to kill our workers,” CM said, referring to the murder of TMC members near Barrackpore on Saturday.
He also accused him of using Raj Bhavan to “lurk in Bengal and Tap Phones”.
“Pegasus is running from Raj Bhavan.
We have all-Indian Pegasus there (Delhi),” he said.
“We have Pegasus in Delhi, here we have a super-Paharadar (Super Guard) in Bengal.” He said he had asked PM Modi many times to “remove this governor”.
“The elected government has become a worker bound to the governor nominated,” Banerjee said, Dhankhar denied citizenship services to the people of Howrah and Bally.
