The green impact report from the JSW project is called unfounded

Bhubaneswar: Members of the civil society group, including Lok Shakti Abhiyan and Samyukt Kisan Morcha, on Thursday were nicknamed the environmental impact assessment report on Utkal JSW steel which was unfounded and fraudulent, the accusation was rejected by the company.
Prafulla Samantara activists, who have protested steel generators from the start, accused that the environmental impact assessment report prepared for the proposed JSW project was carried out to justify the project, rather than assessing the impact on the environment.
“This report has made intentional efforts not to recognize the impact of further pollution burden on the regional environment,” alleged samantara.
He said a report recently released by research centers about energy and clean air (Crea), titled Health Impact Assessment of the Integrated Steel Factory, JSW for Liphan Limited, Odisha, revealed serious shortcomings in environmental impact assessment reports for leading projects for Fraud representation of the actual environmental impact therefore.
Suresh Panigrahy from Samyukt Kisan Morcha said the proposed plant emission burden will be twice emissions throughout the cluster in the paradip.
“Air pollutant emissions will be responsible for estimates of 94 deaths per year.
Dhinkia and the closest area will be forced to bear the burden of dangerous greenhouse gas emissions,” he added.
The company, in his statement, said the environmental impact assessment report for the proposed project has been prepared based on guidelines issued by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MOEFCC) for environmental assessment.
“Crea opinions that environmental impact assessments must be arranged based on one year data, not aligned with guidelines issued by the MOEFCC for the report,” said the company.
