Lucknow: The 45th meeting of the Tax Council of Goods and Services (GST) will be held in Lucknow on September 16 and 17.
The meeting will be attended by the finance ministers from all countries, including senior central and state government officials.
The meeting will be chaired by Finance Minister Union Nirmala Sitharaman.
On September 16, he would meet with GST officials and a day later, meeting with the finance ministers.
A senior government official said that the meeting with the GST Council’s Sub-Committee would be held where there was a possibility that members discussed compensation to countries due to income loss with Covid-19 pandemic.
“Sub-committees focus on problems such as VAT etc.
This is the first time Lucknow will host this meeting,” said a government spokesman.
