Mysuru: A guest faculty in the Earth Sciences Department at Mysore University on Thursday said he would start sitting in front of the residence of the Minister of Higher Education who was seeking justice for alleged abuse by Varsity employees.
Fakulsuli My told reporters in Mysuru that he was harassed and humiliated by university employees over the past two months and was not given his honorarium.
Abhijith said the syndicate, the peak body of the University, had not taken any action against his complaint.
When contacted, Deputy Chancellor G Hemantha Kumar said that he would ensure that Abhijith had his honor.
“Syndicate has initiated an investigation of his complaint.
Because of the Covid-19 situation, there is a delay,” he said.
“We will take appropriate action in this matter,” said Kumar Syndicate Member said the next meeting was scheduled for February 1 and the decision would be taken on the case of Abhijith.
