The Gujarat High Court praised CA students for the duty poll

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat High Court has given respect for a 22-year-old rented accounting student, Miral Vyas, who volunteered for the duty of the poll during the local body election at his father’s place, who was sick of the day and could not report for the task.
, In a command released on Thursday, the court was full of praise with the signal by Vyas to stand in the absence of his father, which as an employee of the midday eating scheme the government was assigned the duty of a peon in Wankaner Taluka Mahika Village on the election day in February.
The daughter appeared before Deputy Mamlatdar and offered her service where her father was sick.
Authority was aware of the problem and asked him not to bother about his father’s absence.
But he insisted on the ID card to work as a peon for the day at the polling station.
Vyas functions as a peon on the election day.
HC knows about the incident through news articles.
It is said, “We pay respect to residents such as Miral which stands at an important clock as a disciplined citizen in this country to expand his hand on the date of his sick father’s campaign.
We rarely find such instance.
We salute MS Miral Vyas for this movement It was shown by him.
“The court noticed that the government lacked staff for the task of polls due to the prevalence of Covid-19.
Justice J B B Pardiwala and Justice I J Vora quoted a vyas example when deciding the petition submitted by the Union Co-operative Bank Ltd and its employees, who were assigned to the duties of the poll, but most did not appear.
They have approached challenging the election commission’s decision to sue them for the assignment of the election quoting that the bank is not an instrumental state.
They also seek protection against possible actions by the government because they ignore the mandate.
The court said that the election was over and the problem was irrelevant.
“However, we don’t want anything like that to be repeated again in the future.
It is expected from people like Writ applicants to extend their assistance to state governments in difficult times such as Covid Pandemics,” the court said and refused to help them.
HC did not extend protection against the possibility of actions, also did not ask the authorities to take action against them because of opposing the order of the election commission.
HC has left it to the authorities if they intend to start any process in accordance with the law.
