The Gurugram couple brings a small baby house, ordered illegal adoption

Gurugram: Couples, waiting for years to have their own children, have been booked to adopt a two-month-old girl.
The mother of the child, under the age of Jharkhand, married to a man from his country and handed the girl to the couple from sector 71, police said.
Illegal adoption was revealed when the couple visited the Sakhi one-stop center – the child welfare committee unit – for the girl’s birth certificate.
Officials there found that the couple had bypass the norms to be adopted and only received a written statement through a lawyer who said that the little girl from Jharkhand was willing to give up to her daughter to them.
The CWC has taken custody of the child and sent it to a house to take refuge in Faridabad.
Following complaints at the Badshapur Police Station, the couple has been ordered based on Section 80 (adoption of children without following the provisions set) from Juvenile Justice Act (Maintenance and Protection).
This section brings a maximum sentence of one year in prison.
Tapan Roy, a private company employee, and his wife Jayashri has tried for a child since they married four years ago.
Initially from the 24-North Parganas in West Bengal, Tapan came into contact with Milan Pramanik, a tea seller in Sector 71.
Because Milan also from Bengal, both of them met with each other easily and often discussed family problems.
One day, when I determined his desire to adopt a child, Milan told him about the little girl from Jharkhand, who was pregnant but did not want to save a baby.
Milan, police said, organized a meeting between couples and prospective mothers.
“They have mutual sense of understanding that the girl will hand over her baby a few weeks after birth,” said a police officer.
After bringing home the baby, the Tapan and his wife got a written statement through a lawyer.
The police planned to question lawyers about how he agreed to make a written statement when adoption in the country could only be done through the authority of the center adoption (way) and involved complicated procedures that could stretch for months.
The question has also been submitted about the supervision of the document before being given an approval stamp.
Pinky Malik, administrator from the center of one stop where Tehe Baby was taken on Thursday, said, “We examined the documents and found that adoption was carried out without following the right procedure.” The Center told CWC Chairperson Sunil Kohli and members of Upasna.
Registered cases against Tapan and his wife and children were taken to a shelter house in Faridabad.
“Investigation is on,” said Dinesh Kumar, Sho of Badshapur Police Station.
