Ghaziabad: A 12-year-old girl and her pet dog died after falling from the ninth floor balcony from a flat on the Homes Society at Kavi Nagar on Wednesday.
The girl – a class VII student – tried to save a puppy, which was trapped between the iron balcony grille, when she slipped and fell with a pet.
The girl’s family refused to complete the autopsy or filed a complaint of the police.
But the police put aside a rotten game and said it was an accident.
According to the police, Jyotsna Sharma, the girl, played with a puppy in her room when running towards the balcony.
His mother, Kiran, was busy in the kitchen while his father, Lalit, was going to work.
Lalit is a marketing manager in a private company.

The accident at Ghaziabad came a day after a one-year-old girl died after she slipped through the stairs fence and fell 12 floors in a housing community in Greater Noida.
