The GZB recorded his first Covid death in the current wave, 2,103 new cases

Noida / Ghaziabad: A 55-year-old Modinagar resident surrendered to Coronavirus, the first death reported from the district in the current wave of pandemic, said health officials on Sunday.
The district also recorded a one-day increase in the highest in cases with 2,103 people testing positive in the last 24 hours.
On January 11, the district has recorded 1,679 cases, which are the highest one-day calculation since April 30 last year when 1,375 cases were recorded in the district.
According to health officials, the district has so far recorded the fatality of 462 because of the pandemic.

Modinagar residents, officials said, undergoing treatment at LLRM Medical College in Meerut and suffer from serious liver disease.

In neighboring Gautam Budh Nagar, as many as 1,498 new cases were reported that day, pushing the active cases of this district to 12,705 on Sunday.
More than 150 patients currently recover in hospitals, while 1,569 have been dismissed after recovery in all districts so far.
Singh, son of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, said he was isolated himself and asked them to come into contact with him for the past few days to get themselves isolated and tested viral diseases.
Singhh made an announcement on social media, the day after BJP announced his nomination from Noida for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly poll.
“I have tested positive Covid-19 today with mild symptoms.
Also, I asked everyone who had come into contact with me to isolate myself and tested,” Singh tweeted.
“I will continue to relate to people and party workers online and hope to immediately return to the field in the best hope of all of you,” added the 43-year-old leader.
Meanwhile, reported 17,185 cases of fresh coronavirus on Sundays that pushed the calculation of active infections to 1,034.74.
