The Haryana Subordinate Court has 284 Judge vacancies, Punjab 103

Chandigarh: When the court has grappled with increasing case backlogs and increasing new case institutions every year, as many as 283 posts of justice officers are empty in subordinate trials throughout Haryana, 143 in Punjab, 14 in Himachal and three in Chandigarh.
Likewise, there are 39 jury posts that are not filled in Punjab and Haryana High Court and three in the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
Because lower justice is considered the main interface between people and justice systems, there are 772 positions of judicial officials in the subordinate court in Haryana, 692 in Punjab, 175 in Himachal Pradesh and 30 in Chandigarh.
Minister of Law and Justice Kiren Rijiju shared this information in the ongoing rainy season session from Parliament.
He told me that during the Covid pandemic – between March 2020 and June 2021 – various district courts in 34 states and the United States removed 97.21 cases of lakh through a digital and physical hearing.
From here, the subordinate court in Punjab waste 3.65 lakh cases, 2.80 lakh cases were thrown in Haryana, 2.29 lakh at Himachal Pradesh and 10,671 in Chandigarh.

The Punjab High Court and Haryana have the power of 85 sanctions and the Himachal Pradesh High Court should have 13 judges.

But only two judges were appointed in the Himachal Pradesh High Court in the last three years, in 2019.
