Lucknow: The Presidential President of Bahujan Sajaj Mayawati will not oppose Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls, Party Secretary General S C Misra said here on Tuesday.
Misra said she also would not oppose the country’s election, which will be held in seven phases from February 10.
Because the selection was held in several countries, including Punjab and Uttarakhand, along with Uttar Pradesh, BSP President would not oppose the polls and assistance of winning party candidates, said Misra.
At present, Mayawati is not a legislator or parliamentary member.
Misra is a member of Rajya Sabha.
