Kanpur: District Judge Vishakh G, on Thursday, held a meeting with the Head of Religion and appealed them to create awareness about the importance of vaccines and urged people to be vaccinated against Covid-19 to reduce infection rates.
DM said that now 85% of the population in city urban pockets and 95% of rural areas have taken a vaccine dose.
But there are some who haven’t taken the first dose, he said.
The head of the religion later, through recorded video messages, urged people to get themselves vaccinated at the beginning.
DM said from January 10, the booster dose will be given in the area.
Those who have taken both doses can take a booster dose of 39 weeks after their second dose.
